On Saturday, April 24, 2015 over 75 volunteers from the Abilene chapter participated in the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (TSCPA) first statewide CPA Day of Service. Volunteers spent the morning working on projects at five charities: Habitat for Humanity, Global Samaritan Resources, Inc., Disability Resources, Eternal Threads and the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council.
After a morning spent volunteering, the chapter gathered for lunch to celebrate the TSCPA’s centennial. Then, the Chamber of Commerce Redcoats joined the chapter for a ribbon cutting ceremony and read a Mayoral proclamation to close out the day’s festivities.
Thank you to all of the Condley & Co., L.L.P. employees and Abilene chapter members who participated. Out of ten participating chapters, Abilene boasted the most volunteers for the event! Your time, energy and enthusiasm were greatly appreciated.
